Anton Hernandez and Chandler Grand Prix team up for a pair of Midget starts

Piedmont, Oklahoma (6/27/2022)... In less than two weeks, Anton Hernandez and Grady Chandler, owner of Chandler Grand Prix, are teaming up for a pair of Midget starts in the heart of the United States.

Hernandez, an Arlington, Texas native, will be in the Chandler Grand Prix - - Melmark Pipe & Supply #00 for two races. His first race with GCR is on Saturday, July 9th at I-44 Riverside Speedway, just south of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The start will be Anton's first with the POWRi West Midgets since 2016. Hernandez has one career POWRi West victory on his resume. To add, he has two Top 10's at I-44 Riverside, his best finish is fourth.

Hernandez's second start for Chandler Grand Prix will be Tuesday, July 12th at Red Dirt Raceway; the first night of USAC Mid-America Midget Week. While Anton has not raced at Red Dirt Raceway in a Midget, he has done so in a Micro Sprint. Hernandez has two Top 5's in three Feature Starts with the NOW600 Series (Stock Non-Wing).

The last time Grady Chandler had the Carter Chevrolet - BS Designs #00 in a USAC National Midget competition, he saw his first Top 10 as a car owner. He will look to keep up the success against USAC's best come July 12th.
