Buddy Kofoid Adds Sprint Cars to Already Busy Schedule

PC: Unknown

Fairfield, Illinois (4/29/2021)... Buddy Kofoid has added 410 Wing Sprint Car racing to his already busy schedule.

Kofoid is already committed to Keith Kunz Motorsports Midget program, Super Late Model racing on the west coast with Racing Dynamiks, and the USAC Silver Crown dirt races with Chris Dyson Racing. Now, you can add 410 Wing Sprint Car racing with CJB Motorsports to his schedule.

Kofoid, a Penngrove, California native, will make select starts with the Pennsylvania-based team, starting with the first night of #LetsRaceTwo at Eldora Speedway (OH) with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on May 7th.

Buddy will not be able to race that Saturday night due to a POWRi Midget race with Keith Kunz Motorsports at Macon Speedway (IL).

When Brent Marks left CJB ten days ago, the seat needed to be filled. Spencer Bayston will help fill the open seat, alongside Kofoid who was approached by team owner Chad Clemons and crew chief Barry Jackson about the opportunity. "It'll be nice to have a handful of races with CJB and I appreciate the opportunity to run for them. Hopefully, we can make the best of it when I'm in the car and have some fun along the way", Kofoid told Jacob Seelman of SpeedSport.

Kofoid will not be going into the opportunity blindly. He has multiple wins in 410 Wing Sprint Cars, including two already this year. In World of Outlaws competition Buddy has one Top 5 and two Top 10's in only eight starts. With the All Star Circuit of Champions though, Kofoid has two wins, ten Top 5's, and twelve Top 10's in sixteen starts.

On a more regional level, Buddy finished second in Attica-Fremont 410 Championship standings in 2019. He collected two wins then and two more in 2020.
