Justin Grant is on top of the USAC National Sprint Car points through 11 races. He currently tops Chris Windom by 70 points and has 3 wins to go with it. Grant leads the series in Top 5's and Top 10's with 10 of each, and is tied for Features started (11) and Heat wins (4).
Chris Windom sits second in the points right now sniffing at Grant's lead but he has a string of tough drivers right on his tail. Brady Bacon is one of those drivers, he leads the series in wins with 4, but has Indiana natives C.J. Leary and Chase Stockton chasing after him and the top 2 as well.
"KTJ" Kevin Thomas Jr. and Carson Short are the last two drivers to make every feature and have been some of the most consisitent, scoring top 10's in well over half of the races.
Indiana Sprint Week starts on Friday night at Gas City I-69 Speedway. Last year the track opened up Sprint Week with a fraction of an inch finish between Shane Cottle and C.J. Leary, with Cottle being the winner. After Gas City, Kokomo Speedway is up next on the 25th. The highbanks of Lawrenceburg Speedway is then up to the plate before a two day break on the 27th and 28th.
After the two day break, USAC's best head to Terre Haute Action Track. They then will travel to Putnamville, Indiana where Lincoln Park Speedway is located on the 30th. The final two stops are at Bloomington Speedway and then the hairpin quarter mile of Tri-State Speedwayon August 1st.
